The Ooooh™ recessed continuous lighting system redefines traditional linear lighting concepts through an innovative louver design. This design features an array of ellipses incurved to form a tunnel-shaped profile, resulting in a subtle yet sophisticated aesthetic combined with a sublime lighting effect. The louver system not only softens the harshness typically associated with exposed diffusers but also introduces an enchanting decorative element that enhances visual comfort by minimizing glare. Behind the louver system, two diffuser options are available: the Comfort diffuser offers a soft and even light distribution, while the asymmetric diffuser directs light to brighten walls or contribute to ambient illumination. This approach transforms what is often a purely functional light fixture into a luxurious design feature that elevates any space.
Constructed with an aluminum body and finished in durable powder coating, the Ooooh™ luminaire integrates HPF electronic drivers compatible with 120-277V and 347V (EU-240V) power supplies, housed integrally within the fixture. The diffuser is crafted from opal acrylic with a width of 2.4 inches, contributing to the fixture’s uniform light output. For safety, an integral emergency system is available, providing a 1.5-hour (3 hours for EU) emergency lighting capability. This self-contained system includes an inverter module, NiCad batteries, an LED charge indicator, and a test switch, designed to fit a single gang box (not supplied). However, this emergency option is not compatible with the 347V supply.
Designed specifically for grid ceilings, the fixture dimensions are nominal to fit within standard grid ceiling systems, ensuring ease of integration. The Ooooh™ can also seamlessly integrate into modern smart building environments via Power over Ethernet (PoE) connectivity. For advanced circadian lighting needs, BIOS functionality is available upon consultation with the factory. The fixture length is customizable in 1-inch increments, allowing for precise adaptation to project requirements.
With a reported L70 lifespan exceeding 60,000 hours at 1300 lumens per foot (4300 lumens per meter) and an estimated L70 lifespan extending beyond 149,000 hours at the same output, the Ooooh™ provides reliable long-term performance. Delivered lumens and efficacy metrics are based on a 4000K color temperature with a minimum CRI of 80. For enhanced flexibility in lighting design, tunable white options ranging from 2700K to 6500K are available, as well as RGBW configurations for dynamic color lighting. The Ooooh™ luminaire holds damp rating approvals, making it suitable for a variety of indoor environments where moisture resistance is required.
