The WAL Area Light is a high-powered, fully portable LED lighting solution engineered specifically for hazardous environments. Designed to safely illuminate large areas with wide, even light coverage, it is certified for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, meeting ATEX and IECEx standards for Zones 1 and 2 (Gas), as well as Zones 21 and 22 (Dust). This makes it suitable for a broad range of applications across industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, marine, and other demanding sectors where safety and visibility are paramount.
Delivering up to 30,944 lumens at the source, the WAL Area Light uses a patented, innovative light engine incorporating 32 ultra-long-life LEDs configured to offer over 100,000 hours of operation. The fixture produces bright, crisp 5000K white light with a 62° beam angle, ideal for general work area illumination. Its advanced optics and output capabilities ensure clear visibility while minimizing glare and shadowing in complex environments.
Built to withstand harsh conditions, the WAL features a marine-grade aluminum enclosure and toughened glass construction, providing outstanding durability and impact resistance. It is rated IP66 and IP67, offering superior protection against dust, water, and environmental contaminants for both indoor and outdoor use. The fixture is designed for ambient operating temperatures ranging from -50°C to +50°C (with H07RN-F cable minimum temperature limited to -25°C), and is classified with a T4 temperature rating for added safety.
The WAL’s robust and stackable stainless steel frame is fitted with an integral cable tidy and includes a stainless steel lens guard, which must remain in place during operation. It also offers a wide 270° indexed tilt adjustment, allowing operators to precisely direct the beam as needed. Supplied with a 5-meter HO7RN-F cable and an ATX plug, the fixture can be customized with alternative plug types on request. A scaffold mounting clamp accessory is also available to enhance installation flexibility.
Available in voltage ranges of 88–140V AC and 180–277V AC, the WAL Area Light supports a wide range of electrical environments.
