Designed for performance and flexibility, FLUID is equipped with a fully adjustable gimbal mechanism that offers a ±30° tilting range, lockable in 10° increments. This allows for meticulous aiming of light to highlight key features or meet specific design objectives. The luminaire employs a suite of ten advanced optics, leveraging three distinct LED technologies—Multi-lens Array, Chip on Board (COB), and Area Optics—to address a variety of lighting challenges with efficiency and precision.
Built for durability, FLUID features a die-cast and extruded aluminum housing, a clear glass lens, and a single-piece silicone gasket to ensure environmental protection. Stainless steel external screws and vandal-proof hardware provide long-lasting reliability in demanding outdoor conditions. A powder-coated finish enhances corrosion resistance while maintaining visual appeal.
In alignment with environmentally responsible design, FLUID is Dark Sky Friendly when configured as a direct light source with a color temperature of 3000K or lower. This reduces upward light emission, minimizing skyglow and preserving the integrity of nighttime ecosystems. In addition, an amber 590nm LED option is available for turtle-friendly compliance in coastal and environmentally sensitive areas.
FLUID mounts to a standard 2"x4" electrical switch box (supplied by others) and operates with a high-power-factor electronic driver compatible with 120–277V systems (240V in EU markets). It performs reliably in extreme conditions, with a minimum starting temperature of -30°C when equipped with an arctic-rated driver. For enhanced safety and resilience, a shatterproof lens option is available upon request.
The luminaire delivers performance based on a 4000K configuration with a minimum 80 CRI, achieving high lumen output and efficacy while maintaining visual comfort. FLUID’s optical performance is further defined by its BUG rating, with Type II, III, and IV distributions rated B1-U0-G1, and an alternative Type IV distribution rated B3-U0-G0—offering designers confidence in compliant and effective lighting.
