Constructed from extruded aluminum, the Gunnar housing features a tempered glass diffuser lens, polymer sealing gaskets, stainless steel screws, and a threaded weatherproof cord grip for reliable outdoor performance. The luminaire operates on 120V to 277V with an integrated electronic driver and supports 0–10V dimming, functioning in environments as cold as -40°C. It is also available with an optional ANSI C136.41 twist-lock receptacle. Each fixture ships prewired and fully assembled for simplified installation.
The LED light engine comprises high-powered LEDs mounted to a RoHS-compliant circuit board, each paired with PMMA optics for precision light control. Two color temperatures are available—3000K and 4000K—with a CRI greater than 80 across all options. Complementing the luminaire is a robust 5-inch diameter pole made from seamless 6063 aluminum alloy, heat-treated to a T6 temper. The pole includes a flush-mounted hand hole cover with magnicoated fasteners, a cast aluminum base plate, and a complete mounting kit with ASTM F1554 Grade 55 anchor bolts.
Gunnar also offers an optional power receptacle featuring an external cast aluminum festoon, powder-coated to match the pole, and a gasketed, die-cast aluminum in-use cover. This assembly includes a standard GFCI receptacle and complies with 2014 Article 406.9(B)(1) for wet and extra-duty locations.
A range of accessories further enhances Gunnar’s adaptability. For pole-mounted applications, brackets include single adjustable, single arm, double adjustable, and double arm options, all made of cast aluminum with stainless steel hardware. Wall-mounted configurations utilize a matching bracket and wall cover plate. An optional shade accessory, composed of a thermoformed PMMA diffuser and an aluminum ULOR shade, helps control backlight while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic through a color-matched finish.
