The LE LED Downlight is a compact, hanging fixture designed specifically for overhead illumination in outdoor environments. Featuring a single high-performance LED, the LE is crafted with durable die-cast C360 brass housing and a C110 copper shroud, delivering reliable performance and refined aesthetics. The fixture’s construction is enhanced with marine-grade anodization and a polyester powder coat finish, available in natural copper, powder-coated, or antiqued brass options. This layered protection ensures longevity, even in harsh environmental conditions.
Engineered for precision and longevity, the LE incorporates an integrated Cree® LED module with a proprietary intelligent driver. This firmware-controlled driver regulates temperature for optimal LED lifespan, while gold-plated connectors and conformal coating maximize reliability and corrosion resistance. The LED is field upgradeable and rated for an average useful life (L70) of 50,000 hours. Output is equivalent to a traditional 10-watt halogen, delivering up to 55 lumens at 22.6 lumens per watt with a CRI of 80.8.
The LE comes equipped with color temperature adjustment lenses, including preinstalled 2,700K (amber), along with 3,900K (frosted), 4,500K (green), and 5,200K (blue) filters for on-site customization. The beam angle is calculated using the LM-79 standard for SSL luminaires, ensuring accurate light distribution. A frosted polycarbonate lens provides high thermal tolerance and durability.
For installation, the LE includes a stainless steel hanging cable and lock, with tamper-resistant set screws for added security. Wiring consists of an 18 AWG, 26-foot-long SPT-1W lead rated at 220°F (105°C) and 300V. The fixture operates on 10–15 VAC/VDC and requires a separately specified remote transformer. It is both phase and PWM dimmable, and compatible with Luxor® technology. Selecting the ZD option allows zoning and dimming in 1% increments across up to 250 groups, while the standard fixture remains zoneable via Luxor systems.
Weighing just 1.3 lbs (0.6 kg), the LE is designed for downward-facing installation only. It operates within ambient temperatures ranging from 0°F to 140°F (-18°C to 60°C) and is compliant with IEC 60598-1 and IEC 60598-2-7 standards when the “e” version is selected. For environmentally sensitive projects, the LE can also meet International Dark-Sky Association criteria when used with a light source of 3,000K or lower.
