The fixture is designed for recessed installation into vertical surfaces and is compatible with standard single-gang and 4-inch square junction boxes, allowing for convenient integration in most settings.
Crafted from durable die-cast A380 aluminum, the SL Wall Light offers glare-free illumination through a UV-stabilized acrylic lens and features an integrated Cree® LED module. The fixture includes polycarbonate color temperature adjustment lenses to fine-tune the output to 2,700K, 3,900K, 4,500K, or 5,200K. Each LED module is engineered with a proprietary intelligent driver for firmware-controlled thermal regulation, ensuring a long LED life of up to 55,000 hours. The modular design allows for field upgrades and replacements.
The fixture’s two-layer finish—marine-grade anodization followed by a polyester TGIC powder coat—ensures robust resistance to corrosion and environmental stress. It is dimmable via phase-cut (PWM) methods or fully controllable when paired with FX Luminaire's Luxor® technology, which enables zoning, dimming, and even full RGBW color-changing capability (in ZDC models).
Performance specifications vary slightly between the SL-3 and SL-5 configurations, both of which are available in 1 LED, 3 LED, and ZDC variants. For example, the SL-3 ZDC model outputs 60 lumens at 6.0 W with a CRI of 80+, while the SL-5 ZDC delivers up to 166 lumens. Power consumption ranges from 2.0 W to 6.0 W, with efficacies between 10 and 32 lm/W depending on configuration. Input voltage is rated at 10–15V for standard and ZD versions, and 11–15V for ZDC versions.
The SL Wall Light includes tamper-resistant features and hardware made from stainless steel, along with a moisture-blocking socket that protects internal components. It uses 18 AWG, 10-foot pre-stripped wiring rated for high temperatures and 300 V operation. The lens offers excellent impact resistance and tolerance for thermal stress, while the housing provides space for 1 LED, 3 LED, or ZDC configurations.
For enhanced control, ZD and ZDC models leverage Luxor technology to assign fixtures into up to 250 groups, dim each group in 1% increments, and in the case of ZDC, access over 30,000 RGBW colors. The fixture is compatible with EX, PX, and Luxor controllers, requiring a remote transformer (specified separately) for operation.
Built with sustainability in mind, the SL Wall Light incorporates recycled materials where possible and emphasizes energy-efficient, long-lasting performance.
