The aPillar is a modern aluminum bollard designed to provide a full 360º light spread without glare, making it an ideal choice for contemporary outdoor lighting applications. It is available with white LEDs or an RGBW version compatible with ZDClink® controllers, offering versatile color control. The fixture delivers up to 506 lumens with power consumption options ranging from 2.2 watts to 12.2 watts. Operating on an input voltage of 10 to 15 Vac/dc for white LEDs and 11 to 15 Vac/dc for RGBW, the aPillar requires a remote transformer, which is specified separately. The luminaire is designed for horizontal surface installation and has a long typical lifetime, rated at 72,000 hours for white LEDs and 55,000 hours for RGBW LEDs.
Equipped with an integral driver, the aPillar features Lumileds® white LEDs and Cree® RGBW LEDs. It incorporates CoolDrive™ technology for onboard thermal monitoring and control, ensuring reliable performance and longevity. Dimming is supported through Luxor® control systems or a trailing-edge (reverse phase-cut) dimmer, enabling precise lighting adjustments. The ZDClink Controller further enhances control capabilities by zoning luminaires into up to 250 groups, allowing dimming in 1% increments and access to over 30,000 colors with RGBW LEDs. Users can select zoning and dimming functions via ZD options or add color control with ZDC.
Constructed from machined 6061 aluminum with a durable cap and stainless steel hardware, the aPillar is built to withstand harsh outdoor environments. Its lens is made from clear molded acrylic, providing excellent light transmission and resistance to impact and thermal stress. The finish includes a two-layer protection of marine-grade anodization combined with a polyester TGIC powder-coat, tested to ASTM standards for superior weather resistance. The fixture is designed for downward lighting installation and ships with an 11-inch ABS stake for secure mounting. Wiring consists of 18 AWG SPT-1W cable, rated for high temperatures and voltages, with MicroAntileach™ technology to prevent moisture ingress.
The aPillar is rated IP65 for protection against dust and water, making it suitable for dry, damp, and wet locations. It has a BUG rating of B0-U2-G0 and an IES Type V classification, ensuring effective and well-controlled light distribution. Certified to meet UL 1838, CSA C22.2 No. 250.7, IEC 60598-1, IEC 605598-2-4, and multiple other international standards, the aPillar offers reliable performance and compliance for a variety of outdoor lighting projects.
