Off-Grid Solar Area Light with Smart Controls for Pathways, Roadways, and Public Spaces

The LEO 360 Solar Area Light combines cutting-edge solar technology, advanced LED performance, and refined aesthetics to offer a fully off-grid solution for area and pathway lighting. Designed with versatility and sustainability in mind, this solar-powered luminaire delivers unmatched performance and visual comfort in both pedestrian and vehicle-oriented environments. Available in pole heights up to 20 feet, the system is ideally suited for a range of public and commercial applications—from greenways and pathways to roadways and parking lots. Clean lines and an understated 19-inch diameter housing help the LEO 360 Solar maintain a balanced visual profile across various pole heights and spacing requirements. It supports single or back-to-back luminaire configurations and is International Dark-Sky Approved, ensuring minimal light pollution and alignment with environmental lighting standards.

Engineered for maximum efficiency and longevity, the LEO 360 Solar features a high-output LED light engine with efficacy up to 188 lumens per watt and a maximum delivered output of 10,300 lumens. The LEDs are mounted on RoHS-compliant circuit boards with secondary optics to provide targeted roadway distributions. Available in 2700K, 3000K, and 4000K color temperatures with a CRI above 80, the system supports exceptional visual clarity and comfort. Lumen maintenance is equally impressive, with ratings of L70 >60,000 hours and L90 at 59,000 hours under maximum operating conditions.

The vertical solar module design is optimized for energy capture throughout the day using high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon cells with over 24% cell efficiency. Each module delivers more than 110 Wp, and the system can be configured with one to three modules (four available on request), yielding a total solar capacity of 110 to 440 Wp. Constructed from toughened borosilicate glass and finished in black, each module measures 8.0 x 43.7 inches. Inside the pole, a marine-grade aluminum control unit (IP67 rated) houses all power management components, including the LED driver, solar control electronics, and lithium NMC battery. Battery options include 850 Wh and 1275 Wh capacities with integrated sensors for temperature and humidity monitoring, 6-cell balancing, and advanced Battery Management System (BMS) technology.

LEO 360 Solar also includes integrated smart controls for autonomous light output adjustment based on environmental conditions. The HelioSync™ dimming algorithm supports adaptive off-hours lighting profiles, while an astronomical clock ensures automatic scheduling based on sunrise and sunset times. Optional features include GPS-based positioning through GNSS systems (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou, QZSS), remote monitoring and configuration, and both over-the-air (OTA) and over-the-cable software updates. Communication is supported via a built-in global M2M eSIM, with optional NanoSIM capability for connectivity.

With its innovative design, advanced power management, and configurable architecture, the LEO 360 Solar Area Light is an ideal solution for landscape architects, urban planners, and engineers seeking sustainable, off-grid lighting that does not compromise on aesthetics or performance.
