Porla is a pendant luminaire that captures the spirit of Scandinavian design through its simple, elegant form and use of natural materials. Crafted with a handmade opal glass shade and a solid oak suspension, Porla embodies minimalism while offering a warm and inviting presence. According to its designers, the goal was to create a fixture that can occupy visual space—whether used alone or in multiples—without dominating its surroundings. The oak wood suspension not only enhances the luminaire's natural appeal but also serves as an adjustable rail to help center the glass shade with precision.
Porla is available in versions with either a professional integrated light engine or an E27 socket, giving users the option to choose between advanced LED technology or their own preferred bulb. The LED light engine delivers high-quality illumination with a color temperature of 2700K, 3000K, or 4000K and a color rendering index (CRI) of 90. It offers a rated lifetime of L100 50,000 hours, ensuring long-term performance and consistent light quality. The E27-compatible version supports maximum 25W for the 400mm model and up to 36W for the 600mm model.
Installation is handled via a 3-meter black textile cable with a support wire, complemented by a white lacquered ceiling rose made of varnished aluminum. Inside the canopy, the terminal block is configured for 3x0.75 mm² wiring for the E27 version, and 5x0.75 mm² for the DALI variant. The DALI driver supports dimming from 1% to 100%, spring-return push button control, and optional corridor mode. Each luminaire operates with a dedicated driver and DALI address, with the light level preserved even after power interruptions. The driver is built to last with a rated lifespan of 100,000 hours.
Porla 400 and 600 models are energy classified under the EU Regulation 2019/2015. When equipped with the CRI 90 and 3000K (930) light source, the product is rated as Class E for energy efficiency. This pendant luminaire merges sustainable performance with a distinctly Nordic identity, making it an enduring choice for modern, natural-inspired lighting design.
