RING 3 represents the second generation of our circular performance pendant, featuring a sleek and slender 3-inch profile that makes it an excellent choice for ambient lighting in spaces with lower ceilings. Despite its lightweight and refined design, RING 3 delivers unmatched light output and supports multiple control integrations, including Power over Ethernet (PoE) and advanced wellness technologies such as BIOS and Dim to Warm. To enhance ambient illumination, an indirect light option is available using a powerful Batwing optic, which offers wider light coverage for more effective and even distribution. For improved acoustic comfort, RING 3 can be equipped with an acoustic panel up to 8 feet in length, designed specifically to absorb echoes and reduce reverberation common in open-concept spaces with features like exposed concrete, open ceilings, or large windows.
The fixture’s body and trim are crafted from durable steel and aluminum, finished with a high-quality powder coating for lasting appeal. Power is supplied via a silver braided cable, and the diffuser options include opal polycarbonate for direct lighting as well as batwing polycarbonate sections for indirect illumination. The pendant is suspended by steel cables, with a recommended minimum mounting height of one foot (305 mm) and a maximum tilt angle of 5 degrees to ensure precise positioning.
RING 3 offers an emergency lighting option featuring a remote system that provides 1.5 hours of emergency illumination (3 hours for EU). This system includes an inverter module, NiCad batteries, and a remote wall or ceiling LED charge indicator and test switch, compatible with North American installations. The maximum distance allowed between the wall or ceiling plate and the luminaire is 15 feet (4.5 meters), and the test switch fits a standard single gang box, which is not supplied.
The fixture is equipped with integral HPF electronic drivers compatible with 120-277V (EU-240V) power supplies, integrated directly into the housing. Acoustic panels for RING 3 have a noise reduction coefficient (NRC) rating of 0.80 and meet ASTM E84-2018 Class A fire safety standards. These panels are made from 100% recycled polyester fiber (PET) and have a thickness of 12 mm (0.5 inches), enhancing both the aesthetic and functional acoustic performance of the fixture.
RING 3 mounts directly over a junction box (by others, North America only) for streamlined installation. It achieves high light quality with delivered lumens and lumens per watt (LPW) based on 4000K color temperature and a minimum color rendering index (CRI) of 90 for white LEDs, with data reflecting maximum output values. The product is damp rated, suitable for many indoor environments, and features an L70 rated lifespan exceeding 50,000 hours at 25°C (77°F).
Integration into data networks is seamless through PoE connectivity, allowing for smart building functionality and advanced lighting controls.
