To facilitate installation, all versions of the Kanby Evo include conduit entry points at both ends as standard, eliminating the need for additional drilling or cutting. BESA fixings are pre-set at 600mm centres, and multiple cable entries allow for seamless retrofitting without any modifications to the luminaire body.
Engineered for performance and compliance, the Kanby Evo features a polycarbonate diffuser available in two optical variants: a nanoprism optic carefully designed to meet EN12464-1 / LG7 standards with less than 3000 cd/m² at 65°, and an opal version for softer, diffused illumination. The diffuser options ensure visual comfort and low glare, particularly in spaces where lighting uniformity and compliance are essential. External plastic parts are fire-retardant for enhanced safety, and the luminaire is constructed to resist dust, dirt, and insects, ensuring long-term performance in demanding environments.
For added convenience, Kanby Evo incorporates SmartScan wireless technology, eliminating the need for control cabling and making it ideal for retrofit projects. The luminaire supports surface mounting and is available in two nominal lengths: 1200 mm and 1500 mm. Rated to IP40, it is suited for clean indoor environments and offers presence detection at heights up to 8 meters.
Kanby Evo provides a lumen output range of 2,190 to 6,510 lumens, with an efficacy of up to 138.8 lumens per circuit watt. Emergency lighting versions are available with maintained operation, offering 330 to 380 lumens for a duration of three hours, powered by reliable Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries.
With LED power consumption ranging from 15 to 43 watts and total circuit power between 19 and 49 watts, the fixture delivers consistent illumination at a neutral white 4000K color temperature with a CRI of 80+. Built for longevity and efficiency, the Kanby Evo has a rated life of 90,000 hours (L80/B10). Fully compliant with UKCA and CE standards, this luminaire contains a light source of energy efficiency class B, making it a durable, compliant, and sustainable lighting solution for modern infrastructure.
