The fixture is available in configurations of two or three rings, spanning diameters of 6 or 7 feet, with custom options allowing rings up to 12 feet in diameter using the full Micro Ring collection. To expand design possibilities, a lower output version of the Micro Ring II 3D has been introduced, designed for settings where subtler, more atmospheric lighting is desired. This option maintains the same high quality and uniform light diffusion characteristic of the original model but provides a gentler illumination ideal for intimate environments or when a less intense lighting effect is preferred. This addition broadens the versatility of the Micro Ring collection, ensuring that designers can select an appropriate ring solution for a variety of lighting challenges.
Constructed with an aluminum body, the Micro Ring II 3D features a silver braided power cable that complements its sleek aesthetic. It utilizes remote HPF electronic drivers compatible with 120-277V in North America and 240V in Europe. The fixture’s finish is powder-coated for standard options, while wood grain finishes come with a white canopy for a refined look. An optional remote emergency lighting system is available, providing 1.5 hours of emergency illumination in North America and 3 hours in Europe. This system includes an inverter module, NiCad batteries, and a remote wall or ceiling-mounted LED charge indicator and test switch (North America only). The test switch fits a single gang box, though the box itself is not supplied. The maximum distance between the luminaire and the emergency system’s wall or ceiling plate is 4.5 meters (15 feet).
The Micro Ring II 3D’s drivers can be remotely mounted with specific wire size limits: 18 AWG wire supports up to 40 feet, 16 AWG up to 60 feet, and 14 AWG up to 90 feet. Drivers must remain accessible after installation for maintenance. Suspension is achieved via stainless steel cables, and custom suspension combinations involving other Micro Series products can be arranged by consulting the factory. The diffuser utilizes a protruding lens measuring 2.1mm (0.08 inches), contributing to the fixture’s precise light diffusion.
This model supports integration into data networks through Power over Ethernet (PoE) connectivity, allowing smart control and connectivity options. For sensor compatibility, consultation with the factory is recommended. Mechanically, the luminaire mounts directly over a J-box, which is provided by others, and is applicable for North America only. The delivered lumen output and efficiency ratings are based on white LEDs at 4000K with a minimum color rendering index (CRI) of 80. The fixture is rated for an L70 life of over 60,000 hours at 25°C (77°F), indicating long-lasting performance.
