Its dustproof and waterproof design safeguards critical connections, including the Neutrik™ power socket, USB control port, network ports, and two fiber optic ports, providing confidence that it can operate reliably even in exposed or humid conditions. The device can be mounted horizontally, on a rack, suspended, or attached to scaffolding using truss clamps, offering flexibility for both permanent and temporary setups.
The converter supports two high-bandwidth optical ports, each capable of 10 Gbit/s, and ten Gigabit Ethernet ports, each supporting up to 1 Gbit/s. When paired with the MX40 Pro controller, all ten Ethernet ports are active, while with other NovaStar controllers, up to eight ports are available, ensuring adaptable network configurations. The optical ports are equipped with hot-swappable, twin-core multi-mode modules operating at a wavelength of 850 nm, allowing transmission distances up to 300 meters with a data rate ranging from 9.95 Gbit/s to 11.3 Gbit/s. This makes it particularly well-suited for high-density, large-format outdoor LED displays where long-distance signal integrity is critical.
Powering the CVT10 Pro-M is straightforward, with an input voltage range of 100–240 VAC at 50/60 Hz and a typical power consumption of just 22 W.
