As a multifunctional light column, the MOD 2.0 TOWER allows extensive customization of optical and smart modules. Various optical modules can be installed along the tower’s length, including S05 asymmetrical optics for pedestrian paths, squares, and urban green areas, and ASC asymmetrical optics for floodlighting and architectural façade applications. The AS optic features a beam opening directed upwards, specifically for highlighting palaces, squares, and building facades, protected by transparent glass. The S05 optic, with satin-protected glass, provides enhanced visual comfort for pedestrian zones.
Beyond lighting, the MOD 2.0 TOWER can incorporate multiple smart modules. A remote control node can create a connected network between towers through integrated radio frequency transmission. Security cameras can be installed as part of the tower, although they are provided separately by the customer. Motion sensor modules detect pedestrian traffic and adjust the lighting accordingly, offering functional adaptability for dynamic urban environments. This combination of optical and smart modules makes the MOD 2.0 TOWER suitable for a variety of urban, commercial, and public applications.
The tower is available in three finishes—graphite, silver, and corten—allowing it to harmonize with different architectural and environmental contexts. Its LED modules operate at a colour temperature of 4000K, with 3000K as an optional alternative, and a color rendering index (CRI) of 70 or higher. The LED source efficiency reaches 168 lm/W at 525 mA and Tj=85°C. The system is classified as photobiologically safe (EXEMPT GROUP) and meets insulation classes II and I. The MOD 2.0 TOWER is protected against dust and water ingress (IP66) and mechanical impacts (IK08).
The lighting modules and gear trays are removable and replaceable for ease of maintenance. The tower supports buried mounting with L500 foundations for 3–5 meter heights and L800 foundations for 6-meter heights, with optional plate fixing. Operating temperatures range from -40°C to +50°C. The rated voltage is 220–240V at 50/60Hz with a power factor greater than 0.95 at full load. Connection options include H07RN-F cables with cross-section of 1.5 mm², or optional IP66/68 connectors for cables up to 2.5 mm² and 12 mm diameter. Surge protection is standard up to 10 kV, with an optional SPD rated at 10 kV / 10 kV CM/DM and a type 2+3 configuration including LED signal and thermal fuse for end-of-life disconnection.
Control system options include fixed power (F), automatic dimming (DA) with a virtual midnight profile, customizable DA profiles (DAC), constant light flux (FLC), wireless single-point communication (WL), and DALI digital dimming interface. The tower’s materials include a die-cast aluminium heat sink powder painted to UNI EN1706 standards, a column profile of extruded aluminium also powder painted, and a flat tempered glass screen 5mm thick with high transparency. The optic is constructed of 99.85% aluminium with a 99.95% vacuum-sealed surface finish and aluminium grade class A+ according to DIN EN 16268. Cable glands are plastic M20x1.5 rated IP68, and gaskets are polyurethane. This combination of materials ensures durability, safety, and aesthetic quality in a wide range of urban settings.
