Micro Quad II™ Suspended offers a sleek, modern lighting solution defined by its straight lines and right angles, which bring a balanced and grounded presence to any space. With an ultra-slim 1-inch profile, this fixture is available in multiple quadrilateral sizes ranging from 2 to 7 feet square, making it perfect for creating structured grid effects or large multi-tiered installations. The light output is a harmonious blend of direct and indirect illumination, allowing coordination with its counterpart, Micro Quad DE, which emits light from both the inner and outer edges of its frame. For enhanced acoustic comfort, particularly in open-concept environments with exposed concrete, open ceilings, or expansive windows, Micro Quad II offers an optional acoustic panel designed to absorb echo and reverberation. For a playful yet cohesive lighting design, it can be combined with Micro Ring or Micro Triangle fixtures to introduce dynamic shapes and layers.
The fixture’s body is constructed from aluminum and finished with durable powder coating. It is suspended by stainless steel cables, complemented by a silver braided power cable that enhances the fixture’s refined aesthetic. Installation is straightforward, as the luminaires mount directly over standard junction boxes (North America only). The diffuser is made of frosted acrylic, featuring a subtle lens protrusion of 4.8 mm (0.19 inches), ensuring soft, even light distribution.
Micro Quad II is powered by high power factor (HPF) electronic drivers compatible with 120–277V in North America and 240V in the EU. Depending on the fixture size, drivers may be remotely mounted or integrated within the canopy. Remote driver mounting supports wire distances up to 40 feet with 18 AWG wire, 60 feet with 16 AWG, and 90 feet with 14 AWG, with the requirement that drivers remain accessible after installation. Additionally, Micro Quad II supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) for seamless integration into modern data networks, enhancing smart building capabilities.
The fixture delivers lumens and efficacy based on 4000K white LEDs with a minimum CRI of 80, with 90 CRI available upon request. Sensor compatibility is available upon consultation with the factory. For acoustic applications, the included panels feature a noise reduction coefficient (NRC) rating of 0.80 and are constructed from 100% recycled polyester fiber (PET) with a thickness of 12 mm (0.5 inches). These panels meet ASTM E84-2018 Class A fire rating standards, ensuring safety alongside performance.
Micro Quad II offers a reported L70 lifetime exceeding 60,000 hours at 25°C (77°F) and is damp rated, making it suitable for a variety of indoor environments. To comply with seismic regulations, seismic bracing kits are available, with factory consultation recommended to ensure project-specific compliance.
