Designed by the Stockholm-based studio Form Us With Love for ateljé Lyktan, the Plug Lamp Table embodies simplicity, functionality, and design clarity. As designer John Löfgren explains, “This was a really simple idea. We wanted to create a lamp with the added bonus of an electrical socket.” The result is a luminaire that not only illuminates but also solves a common everyday problem—finding an accessible power outlet when charging phones, tablets, laptops, or other portable devices.
The Plug Lamp features a strong, graphic form that is typical of Form Us With Love’s design language. Its bold, iconic shape not only enhances its visual appeal but also clearly communicates its dual purpose. By integrating the socket directly into the lamp base, it eliminates the need to search for wall outlets or unplug other devices, offering a streamlined and user-friendly experience in workspaces, lounges, and hospitality environments.
Constructed from durable die-cast aluminium, the lamp’s body and base are complemented by a smooth opal glass shade that diffuses a warm and inviting glow. The luminaire is fitted with an E27 socket, allowing it to accommodate a variety of light sources, including energy-efficient LED bulbs and traditional options. A dimming function adds flexibility, enabling users to adjust light levels as needed.
Plug Lamp comes with a 2-meter black rubber cable and a standard EU plug, making it ready for use right out of the box. It is delivered with a 2700K LED light source and supports up to 28W. According to EU Regulation 2019/2015, the product contains a light source with an energy efficiency class D. For installations requiring a fixed setup, a hardwired version is also available upon request.
