Medium Intensity Dual-Color LED Aircraft Warning Light for Telecom Towers

The WL AB-2001 aircraft warning light is a medium intensity aviation obstruction light designed to mark towers such as telecom and GSM structures, smokestacks, buildings, and other potentially hazardous obstructions to air traffic. Its most distinctive feature is its dual light configuration, incorporating two arrays or layers of high-powered LEDs that serve different functions based on the time of day. During daylight hours, one LED array operates using a high-powered white LED driver to emit a flashing white light with an intensity of 20,000 candelas. At night, the second LED array activates to produce a flashing red light at 2,000 candelas, ensuring optimal visibility for pilots in all lighting conditions.

This medium intensity obstruction light features a modular design that meets optics standards, combining compact size with high efficiency. Built with advanced LED technology, the WL AB-2001 offers exceptional reliability, reducing maintenance costs significantly. It is engineered to withstand shocks and vibrations and is corrosion-resistant thanks to its durable lamp and housing materials. The enclosure is made from die-cast aluminum LM6, providing strength and longevity, while the reflector is crafted from ABS plastic. The product carries a UL94V0 combustibility rating and is rated IP65 for protection against dust and water ingress, allowing it to endure harsh environmental conditions with operating temperatures ranging from -30°C to +60°C.

The WL AB-2001 light is capable of operating either in flashing or steady burning modes, depending on customer requirements specified at the time of order. Its LEDs are connected in parallel and powered by a low-voltage, constant-current driver, ensuring that failure of a single LED does not affect the operation of others. The unit also features a molded bird-repellent spike on the lens dome to prevent perching. Additionally, the light is equipped with a built-in photocell for automatic operation based on ambient light levels. For enhanced operational coordination, the WL AB-2001 supports flash synchronization via GPS functionality when used alongside other compatible Delta flashing lights.

In terms of technical specifications, the WL AB-2001 complies fully with ICAO Standard Annex 14 Type A/B and FAA standards L865 and L866. It operates on an AC 230V power supply and delivers dual flashing outputs: 20,000 candelas ±25% in white during the day and 2,000 candelas ±25% in red at night. The light provides a 360° horizontal coverage with a vertical divergence of 3°. With an LED lifespan of at least 100,000 hours, the light ensures long-term performance. Its visible distance exceeds 16.5 kilometers under atmospheric transparency conditions of 0.85, making it highly effective for marking obstructions. The robust IP65 rating further guarantees protection against dust and water, enabling the WL AB-2001 to maintain reliable operation in demanding
