The LumenRadio Galileo is a single-universe DMX/RDM receiver designed to simplify installation projects while delivering reliable wireless DMX connectivity. Built on LumenRadio’s trusted CRMX technology, Galileo provides a compact and installation-friendly form factor suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. It can be mounted in DIN-rail cabinets or IP-rated enclosures, making it adaptable to a wide range of permanent installation environments where reliability is critical. The device is compatible with all other CRMX and W-DMX products on the market, ensuring seamless integration across multiple wireless DMX networks.
Galileo supports the full suite of CRMX features, including Cognitive Coexistence, 5ms fixed latency, 128-bit encryption, forward error correction, and RDM (Remote Device Management). Multiple Galileo units can be combined to transmit several DMX universes, providing easy system expansion for larger installations. Bluetooth connectivity allows quick configuration and monitoring via the CRMX Toolbox 2 App, making it convenient to manage both wireless and wired devices.
A repeater functionality can be added to any Galileo receiver via an in-app upgrade, improving signal strength in areas with weak reception. The repeater mode allows multiple repeater hops, extending coverage over larger distances; however, it only repeats DMX data, not RDM. Additionally, the Linking Key feature enables the use of user-defined security keys, facilitating transmitter cloning, improving redundancy, and reducing troubleshooting time during maintenance or repairs.
Galileo’s support for RDM allows full configuration and monitoring of connected fixtures and receiver devices using any RDM controller, with Bluetooth-based configuration available through the CRMX Toolbox 2 App. This ensures efficient device management in both wired and wireless setups, while RDM functionality is not available when operating in repeater mode.
Physically, the Galileo receiver occupies a DIN-rail form factor of two module widths and includes an RP-SMA antenna connector, pluggable screw terminals for 12–24 VDC/VAC power, and 3-pin DMX/RDM connectivity. The receiver operates across a 2402–2480 MHz frequency range, with 7–280 mW output power, and maintains 5ms latency with 128-bit encryption and forward error correction. Galileo has received CE, FCC, IC, NRTL (MET), KC, MIC, and UKCA approvals, confirming compliance with global safety and performance standards.
Galileo combines compact installation flexibility with CRMX reliability, Bluetooth-based configuration, and expandable wireless DMX coverage, making it a versatile and dependable choice for professional permanent lighting installations.
