The DIN-mounted central processor QULON MONARQ serves as a robust hub for both dynamic and static architectural lighting control. Its versatile management capabilities include GSM connectivity, allowing remote control of lighting installations and simplifying network access. Dynamic lighting sequences can be executed using DMX512 and ArtNet/sACN protocols over the Ethernet interface, as well as via the wireless BeDMX interface operating at 2.4 GHz. The processor supports any combination of automatic, manual, or scheduled control, enabling the creation of complex, multi-functional lighting installations that adapt to architectural and environmental needs. As part of the QULON product family, QULON MONARQ is fully integrated into the QULON Control and Monitoring System, while also offering compatibility with other smart IoT networks.
The processor supports comprehensive scenario scheduling and live remote control, allowing operators to manage installations with precision and flexibility. Its built-in GSM/GPRS/3G modem ensures full management even when access to local networks is limited. The processor interfaces include DMX, BeDMX, and Ethernet connections, providing input/output control for both static and dynamic lighting setups. Integration with electric meters and other sensors is facilitated via RS-485 connections, while the system also features electrical fault identification for enhanced operational reliability.
QULON MONARQ is built for demanding electrical environments, withstanding voltages up to 305 V. The processor incorporates a built-in AC power supply and backup power system, along with non-volatile memory for secure data storage. An onboard GPS/GLONASS module and astronomical clock allow precise timing for scheduled lighting scenarios, making it ideal for architectural, urban, and public space installations requiring accurate timing and synchronization.
The processor supports multiple protocols, including DMX512, BeDMX, ArtNet/sACN, RDM, and Ethernet. It features 4 or 7 relay outputs, 7 voltage control inputs with a maximum of 250 V, and output channels rated at 250 V and 5 A. Additional sensor inputs, one BeDMX radio channel, and GSM frequencies covering 850/900/1800/1900 MHz expand the system’s monitoring and communication capabilities. Connectivity is further enhanced with a 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet port, as well as serial interfaces including RS-485, CAN, and DMX. Settings and configuration can be performed locally via Ethernet or remotely through the GSM/GPRS/3G network. The processor’s 1 Gb flash memory allows for secure storage of configuration data and operational history.
The QULON MONARQ’s mechanical design is optimized for industrial use. The housing is rated IP20, suitable for installation inside power cabinets or individual waterproof enclosures. The processor measures 210 × 105 × 75 mm and is mounted on a DIN rail, ensuring secure and space-efficient installation. It is rated for reliable operation across a wide temperature range from -40 to +70 °C, making it suitable for harsh indoor and semi-protected outdoor environments. Terminal block connectors (15EDGVС) simplify wiring for all power, relay, and sensor connections, allowing for quick and secure integration into complex lighting systems.
