Engineered with an IP66 ingress protection rating and IK07 impact resistance, it is built to withstand harsh environmental conditions. The luminaire features a marine-grade, die-cast aluminium alloy housing with 5CE superior corrosion protection and PCS polymer-coated stainless steel hardware, making it ideal for coastal or industrial environments.
Equipped with a factory-installed LED circuit board and an integral EC electronic converter, the VLS420 LED delivers consistent performance and energy efficiency. The optical system is CAD-optimised to ensure superior illumination and glare control, while the OLC® One LED Concept enhances uniformity. A safety glass lens and silicone rubber gasket provide long-lasting sealing and impact protection, contributing to the luminaire’s robust build.
Available in a range of RAL colours including Signal Black (RAL9004), White Aluminium (RAL9006), Grey Aluminium (RAL9007), Anthracite Grey (RAL7016), and Traffic White (RAL9016), the VLS420 LED offers design flexibility to match architectural finishes. Optional DALI or 1-10V dimming interfaces can be specified at the time of ordering for adaptable control. An optional 2200 K version is also available for applications requiring extra-warm lighting, supporting currents up to a maximum of 1050mA.
Light distribution options include symmetric medium beam, narrow beam (up/down or single direction), medium beam up and down, asymmetric forward throw, as well as combinations like narrow beam up with forward throw or medium beam down. Colour temperature choices include 2700K, 3000K, and 4000K, allowing for tailored ambience and function. With a 220–240V / 50–60 Hz power supply and optional surge protection, the VLS420 LED is a versatile and dependable solution for sophisticated outdoor lighting projects.
