The FB LED spotlight is a compact, high-performance solution designed for smaller landscapes and tight spaces. While it retains all the core uplight benefits of the larger NP fixture, its more compact form factor accommodates up to a 3 LED board, making it ideal for precise accent lighting in confined areas. With Cree® integrated LEDs and field-serviceable optics and color temperature filters, the FB ensures flexibility in both performance and aesthetic output. It delivers a maximum of 282 lumens with the 3 LED configuration and supports both zoning and dimming capabilities through Luxor® technology when equipped with the ZD option.
Constructed from A380 die-cast aluminum with a robust, marine-grade two-layer finish—an anodization followed by a polyester TGIC powder coat—the FB is engineered for durability in all weather conditions. Its hardware is stainless steel, while the knuckle is a die-cast zinc/aluminum alloy with ½"-14 NPSM threads. This knuckle includes compress and lock features to prevent post-installation slippage and offers vertical adjustability in 9° increments across a 220° range. A die-cast aluminum shroud with a 45° cutoff provides effective glare control. The fixture includes a 10-inch ABS installation spike and has a total weight of 1.92 lbs (0.87 kg).
The optical system includes polycarbonate lenses for adjusting color temperature, with options ranging from 2,700K to 5,200K. Beam distribution can also be customized with interchangeable optics offering angles from 10° to 58°, all pre-assembled to the fixture. Additional MR-16 sized accessories—such as color filters, spread lenses, or hex baffles—can further enhance glare control and beam shaping. The tempered glass lens is designed for high resistance to shock, thermal expansion, and stress.
The integrated LED module uses gold-plated connectors and is conformal coated for superior reliability and corrosion resistance. The onboard intelligent driver includes firmware-controlled temperature regulation to prolong LED lifespan, which is rated at 72,000 hours (L70) for both 1 LED and 3 LED configurations. The LED board is field-upgradable and replaceable, with a maximum drive current of 1 A. The FB spotlight supports phase-cut and PWM dimming, with input power ratings of 1.9W (1 LED) or 4.0W (3 LED), and operates at 10-15V AC/DC.
Wiring consists of an 18 AWG SPT-1W cable rated to 220°F and 300V with a 5-foot (1.5 meter) length. Remote transformers are required and specified separately. Operating temperatures range from 0°F to 140°F (-18°C to 60°C), ensuring year-round functionality. The fixture is compliant with international standards IEC 60598-1 and IEC 60598-2-7 when used with approved mounting systems, such as the GM-XX ground mount or other IP65-rated alternatives.
Sustainability is also a key part of the FB’s design. FX Luminaire incorporates recycled materials where feasible while maintaining premium performance.
