The Bezel BZ2 is a recessed, wall-mounted luminaire engineered for high performance at low mounting heights. Its slim, unobtrusive design delivers minimalist aesthetics while accommodating other wall-mounted elements, making it ideal for modern architectural spaces. The BZ2 features a unique floor-graze optic that allows it to be installed in much lower positions than traditional luminaires, reducing the structural requirements for architectural integration. For applications that demand both functionality and visual clarity—such as pathways and egress routes—the BZ2’s performance wall optic delivers outstanding uniformity and high output, helping meet stringent municipal codes for safety and wayfinding.
Designed for versatility, the Bezel BZ2 supports a variety of control protocols, including 0-10 V and both forward or reverse phase dimming, as well as Luxor® control systems. Additional third-party control systems may also be compatible, although some protocols may require extra hardware. Built with onboard CoolDrive™ thermal monitoring and control, the fixture maintains optimal operating temperatures to ensure longevity and consistent performance.
The fixture runs on either low or line voltage, accommodating 12 Vac/dc as well as 220–240 Vac (50 Hz international) or 120/277 Vac (60 Hz North America). Its LED source uses Lumileds ZES technology and is paired with a precision-engineered optic that offers a 75° beam angle and 130° field angle. Depending on the mounting height, users can select either a floor-graze (FG) or performance wash (PW) optical pattern. The FG optic is recommended for mounting heights between 2" (50 mm) and 6" (150 mm), while the PW optic is ideal for heights above 12" (305 mm). A long shield (LS) faceplate option provides enhanced glare control, though it slightly reduces forward throw. Short and long shroud faceplate designs are available to suit different architectural requirements.
Constructed from die-cast aluminum A380 for both the faceplate and housing, the Bezel BZ2 is paired with a polycarbonate construction sleeve that includes vertical and horizontal ½" NPT knockouts. A construction cover is also included. Installation is strictly for recessed, downward-facing applications, and a separately specified mounting kit is required. The frosted, tempered glass lens offers superior shock resistance and thermal tolerance, while the two-layer marine-grade anodization and TGIC polyester powder coat finish provide long-term protection against outdoor weathering—tested to ASTM standards.
With a compact exposed dimension of 0.6" (16 mm) in standard form and 0.9" (23 mm) with the long shield, the BZ2 weighs just 1.8 lbs (0.8 kg) and operates reliably in ambient temperatures ranging from -13 °F to 140 °F (-25 °C to 60 °C). It carries a robust IP66 and IK9 rating, ensuring protection in dry, damp, and wet environments. The luminaire meets global compliance standards including UL, UL-NOM (3 W only), CE, RCM, and FCC certifications. Its BUG rating varies based on the chosen shield and optic configuration, with the highest uplight control rating being B0-U3-G3.
