Featuring Axis Lighting’s signature wafer-thin design and non-ferrous construction, the fixture delivers high-lumen output and excellent uniformity in a package less than half an inch deep. It incorporates BeWell™ light guide technology to optimize distribution with a sharp cutoff, providing visually comfortable illumination while meeting rigorous MRI room requirements.
Despite its ultra-slim 3/8" profile, the MRI Undercabinet luminaire performs at a high level, offering a typical output of 400 lumens per foot with exceptional uniformity and a 90 CRI at a 4000K color temperature. The light-emitting area is diffuse and uniform, achieved through a precision PMMA light guide that maximizes in-plane light mixing. The result is a controlled, glare-free distribution of clean white light, making it ideal for undercabinet applications in imaging suites and other clinical environments.
Constructed with non-ferrous, all-aluminum materials, the housing provides effective thermal management while maintaining cleanability and safety standards. The extruded aluminum body doubles as the heat sink to support long-term durability, with an LED life rating of at least 50,000 hours and 70% lumen maintenance at 25°C ambient, tested in accordance with IES LM-70 standards. The lens is made from diffused acrylic, and the ABS end caps maintain the fixture’s seamless aesthetic and functional performance.
Available in six different lengths—10", 16", 23", 30", 36", and 42"—this compact luminaire can be easily configured to meet the spatial and functional needs of MRI and healthcare applications. Housing finish options include white or black, and accessories such as linking connectors (6", 12", and 24") and interconnect or power cords enhance installation flexibility. The luminaire is also damp-location rated, further broadening its application potential in clinical settings.
The MRI Undercabinet luminaire is powered by a remote 24VDC power supply, which is ordered separately. This exclusive universal input power supply (120–277V) features multiple filtered outputs and MOLEX® Quick Connect plugs for simple, secure wiring. Each 24V output includes its own EMI pre-filter, ensuring compliance with MIL-STD-461G (RE102 and CE102) electromagnetic interference standards. To further support MRI room compatibility, all dimming circuits are remote and pre-filtered for 0–10V dimming outside the MRI scanning room. A pre-installed 50-foot power cable enclosed in an aluminum conduit provides enhanced EMI shielding and secure connectivity to the power supply.
