The lighting system includes a remote emergency option that provides 1.5 hours of backup illumination in North America and 3 hours in the European Union. This emergency configuration features an inverter module, NiCad batteries, and a remote LED charge indicator and test switch mounted on the wall or ceiling. The maximum permissible distance between the emergency plate and the luminaire is 15 feet (4.5 meters), with the test switch designed to fit within a standard single-gang electrical box, which is not supplied.
Installation is made effortless with the Align N’ Lock™ joiner system, which ensures zero light leakage and simplifies the mounting process. The luminaires mount directly over standard junction boxes supplied by others, streamlining integration into existing electrical infrastructure. Flute is powered by high-power factor (HPF) electronic drivers compatible with a wide voltage range, including 120-277V and 347V (EU-240V), with drivers fully integrated into the fixture housing for a clean, compact design. The system delivers consistent light quality based on 4000K color temperature with a CRI of 80+, ensuring vibrant, natural illumination. Tunable white options are available, offering adjustable color temperatures from 2700K to 6500K to suit varied lighting needs and moods.
This lighting solution boasts an impressive longevity, with a reported L70 lifespan exceeding 108,000 hours at 3000 lumens per foot (9800 lumens per meter) and an estimated L70 life extending beyond 196,000 hours under the same conditions.
