What sets the AeroSun™ VX apart is its integrated Pulse (wig-wag) mode, a built-in safety feature that dramatically improves recognition of the aircraft in both daylight and nighttime conditions. By alternating the light output in a synchronized pattern, this mode increases the aircraft’s visibility to other pilots and wildlife, effectively reducing the risk of midair collisions and bird strikes. Despite its high brightness and functionality, the system is engineered for efficiency, drawing only half the electrical current of traditional lighting systems.
Operating at a maximum of 60 watts per light, the AeroSun™ VX provides excellent performance while minimizing power consumption. When configured as a pair, the landing light mode draws 9.2 amps at 14VDC or 4.6 amps at 28VDC, while the taxi light mode draws 2.3 amps at 14VDC or 1.2 amps at 28VDC. This makes the AeroSun™ VX ideal for aircraft with limited electrical capacity, ensuring bright, reliable lighting without compromising other systems.
