This compact and energy-efficient unit combines both position and anti-collision strobe functions into a single integrated LED fixture, eliminating the need for multiple lighting components or external power supplies. Designed for ease of use and seamless compatibility, it integrates effortlessly with other AeroLEDs lighting systems and serves as a simple drop-in replacement for many legacy lighting footprints. This allows builders and owners to upgrade to advanced LED lighting without the need for significant modifications.
Capable of operating on both 14V and 28V electrical systems, the SunTail 550 EXP delivers bright, full-spectrum tail visibility that enhances aircraft recognition and safety in all flight conditions. The unit is optimized for low average current draw, consuming only 0.35 amps (position light) and 0.40 amps (strobe) at 14VDC, and just 0.2 amps (position) and 0.25 amps (strobe) at 28VDC, with brief peak currents during strobe operation.
Weighing only 0.11 pounds (1.8 ounces), and measuring 2.2 inches in length, 1.7 inches in width, and 1 inch in depth, the SunTail 550 EXP offers an ideal balance of compactness and performance.
