The RFS540 LED luminaire is a robust solution designed for overhead catenary systems, offering durability and performance in demanding outdoor environments. With an IP66 rating and IK07 impact protection, it is engineered to withstand harsh weather conditions and physical impacts. The luminaire body is made from marine-grade, die-cast aluminium alloy, providing exceptional resilience against corrosion, further enhanced by 5CE superior corrosion protection and PCS polymer-coated stainless steel hardware.
To ensure optimal lighting quality and control, the RFS540 features CAD-optimized optics and a non-reflecting safety glass lens, which is hinged and equipped with a safety switch for ease of maintenance. The luminaire utilizes the OLC® One LED Concept with a factory-installed LED circuit board. A thermally separated integral EC electronic converter ensures stable performance and longevity. The unit is factory-sealed, eliminating the need for internal access during installation, simplifying the setup process. An optional 2200 K color temperature version is available and must be specified at the time of ordering.
The RFS540 supports cable diameters from 6–12 mm and allows for a cable inclination angle of up to 10°, making it adaptable for various catenary mounting conditions. It comes with an integral EC driver, offering a power factor greater than 0.9 and a power supply range of 220–240V at 50–60 Hz. Optional SP10 surge protection up to 6/6 kV is also available.
Available in several finishes, including RAL9004 signal black, RAL9006 white aluminium, RAL9007 grey aluminium, RAL7016 anthracite grey, and RAL9016 traffic white, the RFS540 can be seamlessly integrated into different architectural aesthetics. Light distribution options include asymmetric side throw beams in S60, S65, and S70 configurations, and it supports color temperatures of 2700 K, 3000 K, and 4000 K to meet varied lighting design requirements.
