Engineered with a low-profile design, it features an 8-inch outer diameter and rises only 6 millimeters above the surface, making it ideal for flush mounting on helipads to ensure minimal obstruction. Below the flange, the light extends to a depth of 35 millimeters, and it incorporates a Ø 80 mm light outlet to deliver consistent and well-defined illumination.
Built to endure harsh outdoor elements, the TKH Inset Helipad Light boasts an IP68 rating, ensuring complete dust and water ingress protection. Its robust construction supports an overall operational lifetime of more than 20 years, while the integrated LED light source offers a useful lamp life of up to 50,000 hours. The system complies with the chromaticity requirements set forth by both ICAO Annex 14, Volume 1, and FAA Advisory Circular 150/5345-46E, ensuring internationally accepted color standards for aviation safety.
Operating on a nominal current of 6.6 amps with full dimming capability (0 to 100%), the light consumes just 10 watts at full output. The voltage range spans from a minimum of 0.9 volts at 0.1% output to a maximum of 1.5 volts at 100%, maintaining a high power factor of over 95% at nominal current. Designed for versatility and resilience, it can withstand ambient temperatures ranging from -55°C (-67°F) to +85°C (+185°F), making it suitable for installation in extreme climates.
