The Linx Bollard, designed by Olle Lundberg, is an ideal outdoor luminaire for promenades and walkways. Lundberg has crafted a minimalist design in a modern style that centers on the efficiency of an LED light source. While the Linx blends seamlessly into contemporary landscapes, it also creates striking contrasts when placed alongside older, more varied architectural environments. Lundberg emphasizes the importance of glare-free illumination, noting that the light should attract the eye without dazzling. To achieve this, the LED module is thoughtfully recessed within the reflector, ensuring functional lighting without glare.
Constructed with durability in mind, the Linx Bollard features a luminaire housing made from cast aluminum, complemented by an aluminum reflector. The protective glass is clear, encased by a stainless steel bezel, and the ground fixing plate is made from galvanized steel, left in its natural raw finish without paint. This bollard is designed for flexible installation, with options including attachment to a 108 foundation, in-situ casting, or a ground fixing plate. Each fixing type is included with the product, with installation depths ranging from 450 mm to 1000 mm below ground, and a height above ground of 919 mm.
The lighting technology integrated into the Linx Bollard is state-of-the-art, equipped with a STARK - SLE LED module available in 3000K or 4000K color temperatures and a high color rendering index of CRI 90. The LED source offers an impressive lifespan, rated at L90 B10 for 50,000 hours. The product meets energy efficiency class E under the EU regulation 2019/2015. Its light distribution is symmetrical, and the recessed LED module combined with clear protective glass provides efficient, glare-free illumination. The bollard also boasts a robust IK class 10 rating, ensuring high resistance to impact.
Regarding corrosion resistance, the Linx Bollard is painted to meet corrosivity category C3 standards, making it suitable for urban and industrial environments with moderate sulfur dioxide pollution or areas near the coast. For more aggressive environments with higher sulfur dioxide levels, a special corrosion-resistant treatment can be requested and quoted separately. Note that the ground fixing plate remains unpainted in raw galvanized steel, and luminaire housings without fixation can also be quoted upon request.
