The Dyna Drum SO is a powerful, outdoor-rated LED floodlight designed for high-output applications such as façade lighting and wide-area illumination. Engineered with flexibility and performance in mind, the fixture features an integrated adjustable yoke for precise aiming, a built-in digital display for easy configuration, and an internal 100–277VAC power supply. It operates on a wired digital communication network, supporting external control via the industry-standard DMX512-A protocol. Alternatively, users can program static or dynamic color effects directly on the fixture using the intuitive onboard menu system.
Constructed with durability at its core, the Dyna Drum SO is housed in a die-cast aluminum body and is rated IP66 for wet locations, making it ideal for use in demanding outdoor environments. It is purpose-built to replace traditional floodlights while consuming significantly less energy, delivering outstanding performance with minimal environmental impact. A variety of beam angles and optical accessories—including spread lenses and snoots—are available to tailor the light distribution to suit any architectural or landscape lighting requirement.
The fixture offers multiple color configurations, including RGBW, RGBA, and a range of static white options such as 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5500K, as well as dynamic white (DW) with a range from 2400K to 5500K. The standard beam angle is 6°, with optional alternatives of 20°, 40°, 60°, and an elliptical 10° x 60° lens. At 5500K with a 6° optic, the Dyna Drum SO delivers up to 7,769 lumens and an impressive 344,366 center beam candela. In RGBW configuration, it achieves 4,656 lumens and 148,001 center beam candela.
The fixture supports up to 32 units in a single DMX-512 daisy chain and offers versatile control channel modes: four channels for color, three for dynamic white, and one for static white output. Designed to withstand harsh environments, it operates reliably in temperatures ranging from -40°F to 122°F (-40°C to 50°C) and is finished in standard gray, with optional black or white finishes, and marine-grade coatings available for coastal installations.
With a power draw of 157W at steady state and an exceptional lumen maintenance rating of L70 at 120,000 hours (measured at 25°C), the Dyna Drum SO delivers longevity and efficiency. It ships with a 5' (1.5m) IP66-rated AC power and signal cable, ensuring fast and secure installation in a wide range of architectural lighting projects.
