The Crouse-Hinds series L-864/L-865 LED medium intensity flashing dual red/white beacon with infrared (IR) is engineered specifically for FAA Type D and E lighting configurations. These beacons integrate both flashing white and red LEDs, along with infrared LEDs within a single unit, to provide superior visibility around critical aviation and industrial structures such as military bases, airfield perimeters, buildings, towers, stacks, and wind turbines. This dual red/white IR beacon ensures pilots have clear visual cues during normal flight conditions and enhanced visibility when using night vision systems like Aviator's Night Vision Imaging Systems (ANVIS) and night vision goggles (NVGs).

Designed for demanding environments, the L-864/L-865 beacons employ precision optics to maximize visibility while minimizing ground scatter, which enhances safety and reduces light pollution. The long-life LEDs incorporated in these fixtures deliver up to 100,000 hours of expected service life, significantly lowering maintenance requirements and the risk of non-compliance with aviation safety regulations.
