These in-ground wall washers are specifically designed for the uniform illumination of vertical surfaces such as building façades, offering a solution with minimal installation depth. Thanks to their innovative optical design, the luminaires produce a continuous and clean wash of light that extends from ground level up to the base of the roofline. Notably, the light distribution begins precisely at the installation surface, avoiding the common issue of a visible “light cone” or shadow at the base of the wall.
Each luminaire is mounted in a recessed housing that must be installed on a stable foundation capable of absorbing pressure loads. This foundation, along with proper drainage, must be prepared by the customer before installation. These luminaires can be driven over by vehicles with pneumatic tires, supporting pressure loads of up to 1000 kg. However, they are not intended for use in locations where they would be exposed to horizontal forces such as those caused by braking, accelerating, or sharp turns.
Engineered for durability and environmental resistance, the luminaires have an IP67 protection rating and feature BEGA Thermal Management® for optimal performance under demanding conditions. The housing is constructed from cast aluminium, while the installation housing is made of stainless steel. The cover options include either cast aluminium or cast bronze, finished with BEGA’s durable Tricoat® coating for enhanced corrosion resistance. The optical assembly includes a tempered crystal glass cover and a silicone diffusing lens, with the reflector made from pure aluminium for maximum light control.
The system incorporates BEGA Constant Optics® and the BEGA Ultimate Driver® to ensure consistent light output and long-term reliability. Additional features include a water stop and pre-installed connecting cable to facilitate secure and moisture-resistant installation. The luminaire delivers warm white illumination with a 3000 K LED colour temperature, and the standard finish is in a refined graphite tone, providing a sleek, architectural appearance suited for contemporary building designs.
