These robust and efficient units are ideal for industrial and offshore applications requiring safe, high-output, and long-duration illumination.
Both models feature an 18-LED lamp head that delivers a powerful spot beam with a flood of lower-level fringe light, generating up to 3,100 lumens of brilliant white light at the source. Designed for longevity and minimal maintenance, the LED light source boasts an impressive life expectancy of over 100,000 hours, effectively eliminating the need for replacement throughout the fixture’s service life.
The WL-85 is the higher-capacity model, capable of delivering light for up to 21 hours on high power and 40 hours on low power, while the WL-80, equipped with a lighter and more compact battery for greater portability, offers up to 15 hours on high power and 22 hours on low power. Both units are powered by rechargeable high-capacity batteries housed in a stainless steel enclosure, with an integrated control circuit that manages battery status, LED indicators for charge level, and a low battery cut-off feature to prevent deep discharge and ensure battery protection.
Built to withstand the rigors of harsh working conditions, the Worklite™ range is encased in a durable stainless steel body with an anodised aluminium lamp head that acts as a heatsink. Both the battery enclosure and lamp head are IP66 and IP67 rated, making them fully dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets and immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. A 6mm thick toughened glass lens provides impact resistance, and for added protection during tasks such as shot blasting or painting, three disposable antistatic lens guards are included.
Certified under CML 18ATEX3373X, IECEx CML 18.0199X, and CML 21UKEX3646X, the WL-80 and WL-85 are classified as II 2 GD Ex e ib IIC T4 Gb Ex tb IIIC T135°C Db, meaning they are approved for use in explosive gas groups IIA, IIB, and IIC, and dust groups IIIA, IIIB, and IIIC, with a maximum surface temperature of T135°C. They are suitable for ambient temperatures ranging from -20°C to +40°C.
Both models are equipped with locking pivot lamp heads, allowing precise directional control of the beam, and come supplied with a universal mains charger (100 to 254 Vac input), featuring a state-of-charge display to monitor battery levels easily. Weighing approximately 16.5 kg for the WL-80 and 23 kg for the WL-85, these portable lighting units offer an optimal balance of power, durability, and ease of use in demanding environments where explosion-proof lighting is critical.
