High Lumen Output Marine LED Floodlight for Commercial and Recreational Vessels

Hella Marine’s HypaLUME floodlights represent a quantum leap in lighting technology for commercial vessels, offering unparalleled power and performance in extreme environments. These floodlights have been engineered with high output in mind, designed to provide superior illumination where reliability and durability are critical. The HypaLUME series is built to withstand the toughest conditions through comprehensive sealing and advanced anti-corrosion measures. Its premium aluminium housing features a corrosion-resistant, non-stick, and easy-to-clean surface coating, ensuring long-lasting protection against harsh marine elements.

Durability is further enhanced by the heavy-duty Grilamid® lens, which delivers exceptional toughness against impacts and vibration. This lens also provides long-term UV stability and resists exposure to commonly used chemicals throughout the product’s life. The floodlights emit a benchmark working light colour with a wide-reaching beam pattern in a crisp white 5700K daylight-like colour temperature. This cooler light significantly reduces eye strain and fatigue compared to traditional warmer halogen lighting. For specific environments with high dust, fog, or snow, the Amber HypaLUME offers high output lighting with a warmer 2500K colour temperature, improving visibility under challenging atmospheric conditions.

Installation is secure and straightforward, thanks to an ultra-heavy-duty 316 stainless steel bracket that firmly grips the floodlight and withstands harsh vibrations and impacts. The bracket also allows easy vertical angle adjustment of up to 140°, providing flexibility in beam positioning. Designed for reliability in extreme conditions, the HypaLUME operates efficiently across a wide temperature range from -40°C to +50°C. Advanced thermal management technology draws heat away from the LEDs, maintaining performance and extending the product's lifespan. This commitment to quality is backed by HELLA’s class-leading 5-year warranty.

The HypaLUME series supports multiple power inputs, with 110/230V AC models optimized for voltages from 100 to 240 volts and 24/48V DC models designed for voltages between 22 and 52 volts. Power consumption varies accordingly, with a maximum of 300W for AC units and 260W (10A at 24V DC) for DC units. Light output is exceptionally bright, delivering 28,000 lumens for the 110/230V AC white version, 19,000 lumens for the amber AC model, and 25,000 lumens for the 24/48V DC white version.

Protection ratings are robust, with 110/230V AC models certified to IP66 and IP67 standards, safeguarding against dust, high-pressure water jets, and temporary immersion. The 24/48V DC versions carry IP6K7 protection for dust and temporary immersion and IP6K9K certification for resistance to dust and high-pressure steam jet cleaning. Additional electrical safeguards include over-voltage, short circuit, and over-temperature protection for AC units, while DC units feature reverse polarity, transient spike, and over-voltage protection along with advanced thermal management.

For connectivity, the 110/230V AC models come equipped with a 2.0-meter easy plug-in sheathed cable and Wieland RST Mini – 16A connectors. The 24/48V DC units include a 1.8-meter plug-in sheathed cable with a 4-pin Deutsch plug. Lens materials differ by model: the white versions use high-impact, chemical-resistant Grilamid lenses, while amber versions feature polycarbonate lenses. The HypaLUME floodlights hold various international approvals, including CE, RCM, FCC, AS/NZS 60598.2.5 for the white AC models, and CE, C-Tick, FCC, ISO 13766, and ECE R10 certifications for both amber AC and DC variants, ensuring compliance and reliability in marine environments worldwide.
