KIORA is a refined, minimalist pendant luminaire distinguished by its neutral conical shape and opal diffuser, making it a versatile lighting solution suitable for a wide range of interior design applications. Designed to offer clean lines and soft illumination, KIORA enhances architectural spaces with a subtle yet decorative presence. Its hidden internal reflector not only contributes to the fixture’s sleek form but also significantly increases its efficacy, delivering high light output suitable for use in spaces with elevated ceilings.
The outer diffuser is injection-molded clear acrylic featuring an etched lower band for visual softness and uniform light distribution, while the inner diffuser is made from opal acrylic to create a warm and glare-free ambiance. An aluminum reflector with a frosted finish and vertical facets resides within the fixture, optimizing light performance without sacrificing design integrity.
Suspended by a single stainless steel cable and supported by a silver braided power cable, the pendant maintains a lightweight, airy aesthetic. The white powder-coated canopy discreetly houses a high power factor (HPF) electronic driver compatible with 120/277V (EU-240V) and supports standard 0–10V dimming down to 1%. The fixture mounts directly to a junction box using mounting hardware provided by others (North America only).
For enhanced functionality, an emergency lighting option is available, offering up to 1.5 hours of operation in North America (3 hours in the EU). This system includes a remote inverter module, NiCad batteries, and an LED charge indicator/test switch suitable for installation up to 15 feet (4.5 meters) from the fixture.
KIORA delivers excellent performance with lumen output and efficacy measured at 3000K with a minimum 80 CRI for white LEDs. The luminaire is rated for indoor use in damp locations and offers a long life expectancy with a reported L70 of over 50,000 hours at 25°C (77°F). Sensor compatibility is available upon consultation with the factory, offering further customization and integration options for modern lighting control systems.
