These museum-grade LEDs are available in warm white (2700K, 3000K) and neutral white (3500K, 4000K) variants, ensuring precise visual harmony across exhibit lighting schemes. At the core of the Axis system is a powerful and versatile optical system utilizing ERCO’s Spherolit lenses, which can produce spot, flood, or wide flood distributions. The collimating lens made of optical polymer and the 360° rotatable black lens unit provide additional flexibility in aiming the light precisely where needed.
The Axis light heads, which measure just 25mm in diameter, are designed to be nearly invisible within the display, preserving the aesthetic of the exhibit space. They are constructed from a durable black polymer and metal combination (RAL9005), capable of rotating a full 360° and pivoting either 70° or 135°, depending on the mounting method. These heads magnetically attach to stems or mounting plates, allowing for tool-free installation and repositioning.
Stem luminaires are engineered for highly adaptable positioning, with height adjustability between 64mm and 306mm. These stems, made of black matt-coated aluminum with polymer fastening nuts, can be installed on the floor or ceiling of the showcase. Their broad pivot range of up to 270° enables precise directional control aligned with the mounting surface. Surface-mounted luminaires share similar functionality and can be installed on either the ceiling or floor of the showcase to direct light up or down, with the same infinite rotation and 270° pivoting capabilities.
For applications requiring a more discreet appearance, semi-recessed luminaires offer a subtle alternative. Installed in the showcase ceiling or floor using modular mounting frames for one, two, or four light heads, they maintain clean aesthetics while providing flexible lighting with 140° tilt and 360° rotation.
The Axis system’s magnetic design makes it easy to expand or modify lighting configurations. Additional extension light heads can be attached magnetically to stem and surface-mounted luminaires, supporting up to two extensions on floor mounts and one on ceiling mounts. These extension heads maintain the same pan-and-tilt behavior as the primary luminaires due to their polarity-aligned magnetic connection.
