BEGA’s square in-ground luminaires with Vortex Optics® are engineered for high-performance lighting in areas subject to heavy pressure loads. These drive-over fixtures are suitable for installation in paved surfaces both indoors and outdoors, delivering high light output while withstanding the rigorous demands of high-traffic environments. The luminaires feature patented BEGA reflectors (European Patent EP 3098504) that provide precise light deflection and concentrated illumination with exceptional visual comfort. Each unit is housed in a highly corrosion-resistant aluminium casing, designed to rest on its own foundation and support pressure loads of up to 5000 kg, making them ideal for areas exposed to vehicular traffic or other heavy-duty use.
Protection is a priority, with the luminaires rated IP68 for submersion up to 10 meters and equipped with BEGA Thermal Management® for efficient heat dissipation. Construction materials include stainless steel cover frames, high-strength cast aluminium finished with BEGA Tricoat®, and glass fibre-reinforced synthetics. Safety glass covers ensure durability, and the floodlight variant incorporates a high-purity aluminium reflector surface for optimal beam control. At the heart of the optical system is BEGA Vortex Optics®, delivering focused, high-quality lighting.
These luminaires come equipped with the BEGA Ultimate Driver® and feature a built-in water stop and connecting cable for ease of installation. RGBW versions support DALI colour light control (DT8, RGBWAF, xy, TC), enabling dynamic and tunable lighting schemes. For added safety in public walkable areas, a slip-resistant glass option—compliant with DIN 51130 R13—is available by adding the suffix “R” to the article number, which also enhances light diffusion.
Additionally, custom light colour options in green, blue, amber, and red can be provided upon request, making this series versatile not only in performance but also in aesthetic adaptability.
