The FR garden spotlight from FX Luminaire combines the refined aesthetics of copper and brass construction with high-performance LED technology in a compact, durable design. Designed as a smaller counterpart to the NR fixture, the FR supports up to 3LED output and offers all the benefits of FX Luminaire's integrated LED system, including various color filters, beam angle options, and compatibility with Luxor® zoning and dimming technology.
Crafted with precision, the FR features a machined C360 brass housing, brass knuckle, and an extruded C110 copper shroud. It is available with a standard 90° cutoff shroud that includes a drainage hole or an optional 45° long shroud. The tempered glass lens provides excellent resistance to shock, thermal expansion, and stress. Users can select either natural copper/brass finishes or sealed antiqued finishes in Antique Bronze or Antique Tumbled for added elegance and corrosion resistance.
At its core, the FR incorporates an integrated Cree® LED module with gold-plated connectors and conformal coating for enhanced durability. The onboard intelligent driver employs firmware-controlled temperature regulation to prolong the life of the LEDs, which are rated up to 50,000 hours and are field-upgradeable. Optical versatility is built-in with interchangeable beam spreads of 10°, 20°, 30°–32°, and 55°–58°, as well as field-serviceable polycarbonate color temperature lenses (2,700K preinstalled, plus 3,900K, 4,500K, and 5,200K options). The fixture also supports MR-11-sized accessories for additional customization, such as color filters, spread lenses, and hex baffles.
The FR spotlight operates on 10–15V input and is phase-cut and PWM dimmable. Luxor® compatibility enables advanced control options: the standard fixture is zoneable, the ZD option adds dimming functionality, and the ZDC option includes full RGBW color-changing capabilities. When using ZD or ZDC models, users can assign up to 250 groups, dim each group in 1% increments, or select from over 30,000 colors. A wildlife-friendly amber LED option is also available.
Built for reliable performance in outdoor environments, the FR fixture includes MoistureBlock™ technology in the socket to prevent water ingress, an 18 AWG wire with a 10-foot lead for easy installation, and a tamper-resistant locking screw for secure mounting. It can operate in temperatures from 0°F to 140°F (-18°C to 60°C), making it suitable for a range of climates. The knuckle allows for 220° of vertical adjustment in 9° increments and is threaded with ½"-14 NPSM for stable installation. An ABS installation spike is included for convenience.
The FR is manufactured in an ISO 9001:2015 certified facility with a commitment to sustainability, using recycled materials where possible without compromising performance. The product is backed by a 10-year limited warranty and complies with international safety standards when installed with the appropriate IP65-rated mounting accessories. It is designed exclusively for upward-facing installation, with the drainage hole positioned downward when applicable.
