Crafted from a combination of steel and aluminum, the fixture features a durable powder-coated finish in standard colors, supported by a refined silver braided power cable and steel cable suspension. The luminaire’s compact diffuser protrudes just 0.08" (2.1mm), maintaining a streamlined profile while delivering consistent, visually comfortable illumination. The minimum bend radius for curved configurations is just 6 inches, allowing for smooth, tight turns and continuous flow in complex or irregular layouts.
Micro Squiggle is powered by remote high power factor (HPF) electronic drivers suitable for 120–277V and 347V (EU-240V) dimming systems. The fixture supports various wire sizes with defined maximum distances: 40 feet for 18 AWG, 60 feet for 16 AWG, and up to 90 feet for 14 AWG. Depending on the fixture size, drivers may be remote-mounted or integrated into the canopy, but in all cases, they must remain accessible after installation for maintenance.
To support fast and reliable installation, each fixture is pre-wired at the factory with branch circuit wiring and quick connectors. Through-wiring enables continuous connections between individual luminaires, while mechanical mounting is designed to align with a standard junction box (provided by others in North America).
Micro Squiggle can also be integrated into digital infrastructure via Power over Ethernet (PoE), allowing for centralized control, monitoring, and energy management in smart building applications. For safety-critical installations, a remote emergency lighting option is available, delivering 1.5 hours of battery backup (3 hours in EU). This system includes a remote inverter, NiCad battery pack, charge indicator LED, and test switch. The test switch is compatible with a single gang box and supports mounting distances up to 15 feet (4.5 meters) from the luminaire.
Designed for performance and longevity, Micro Squiggle delivers reliable output with lumen performance based on 4000K white light at a minimum 80 CRI. The luminaire boasts a rated lifetime (L70) of over 60,000 hours at 25°C (77°F), ensuring extended maintenance-free operation. It is approved for damp locations and can be equipped with seismic bracing kits to meet local building codes and compliance standards.
