The ERCO Light Board is defined by its distinctive, flat housing design that incorporates advanced thermal management, ensuring reliable performance and an extended service life. With its sleek profile and precision-engineered optics, Light Board is an optimal solution for demanding lighting applications in museums, galleries, retail environments, and other sales spaces. It combines innovative lighting technology with high visual comfort and outstanding flexibility. Whether for accent lighting across long distances or uniform wallwashing in high-ceilinged rooms, Light Board delivers strong performance through various luminous flux packages tailored for diverse spatial needs.
Engineered for both visual impact and discretion, Light Board offers a wide range of lumen packages capable of producing very high illuminance levels. This allows lighting designers to focus the viewer's attention through precise contrasts and highlight key objects or architectural elements with clarity and finesse. Despite its powerful output, the luminaire maintains compact dimensions, making it ideal for spaces where minimizing visual clutter is essential. The subtle presence of the fixture ensures the focus remains on the illuminated objects rather than the luminaire itself.
Technologically, the Light Board utilizes ERCO’s Spherolit lens system to provide a comprehensive selection of light distributions. These include narrow spot, spot, flood, wide flood, extra wide flood, oval flood—adjustable through 90°—and wallwash, enabling precise control over light placement and distribution. At its core is an ERCO high-power LED module, available in warm white (2700K or 3000K) and neutral white (3500K or 4000K), paired with a collimating lens made of optical-grade polymer to deliver efficient and consistent beam quality.
The luminaire’s construction features a powder-coated cast aluminium housing and bracket in white (RAL9002), black, or silver finishes. The head is tiltable from 0° to 90°, and the bracket on the adapter rotates a full 360°, offering extensive adjustability. Internal wiring and a black polymer front cover complete the design, ensuring clean integration and operational reliability.
Light Board accommodates a variety of control gear options, including switchable, phase dimmable with on-board dim, DALI dimmable, and Casambi Bluetooth. The phase dimmable version also includes a rotary control for local brightness adjustment and supports trailing-edge external dimmers, allowing seamless integration with different lighting control systems. The luminaire is compatible with ERCO’s 3-circuit adapter or ERCO DALI adapter for flexible infrastructure integration.
In application, Light Board spotlights are highly effective for accentuating art, products, and architectural features. For optimal results, a tilt angle of approximately 30° is recommended, which models the object with depth and precision while minimizing distracting shadows, including those cast by viewers. The same 30° tilt angle is ideal for washlighting long, rectangular objects such as merchandise displays, sculptures, or framed artwork. In wallwashing scenarios, placing the Light Board lens wallwasher at a distance from the wall equal to roughly one-third of the room’s height achieves a tilt angle of about 35°, ensuring uniform vertical illumination across the surface.
