The TWR OL1VLED-IR (F) is an FAA Type L-810 low-intensity red and infrared LED obstruction light designed to provide reliable, energy-efficient marking for towers, cranes, buildings, and other tall structures. Featuring a durable painted cast aluminum base crafted from casted A356 aluminum, the OL1VLED-IR (F) combines strength and corrosion resistance with an aviation-clear acrylic Fresnel lens that ensures optimal light dispersion. This flashing L-810 light is controlled by TWR’s advanced LC-STAR controller, enabling it to meet and exceed FAA requirements for obstruction lighting.

Engineered for both visible red and infrared illumination, this light offers 360-degree horizontal coverage with a minimum vertical beam angle of 10°, ensuring maximum visibility from all directions. It delivers a minimum effective candela rating of 32.5 at night, compliant with FAA low-intensity lighting standards. The compact flash head measures 7.5 inches (19.05 cm) in height and 4.875 inches (12.38 cm) in diameter, making it suitable for a wide range of installations while maintaining a lightweight profile. Depending on the power configuration, the fixture weighs just 1.61 lbs (0.730 kg) for 120/240 VAC models or 1.25 lbs (0.567 kg) for 12/24/48 VDC variants.

The OL1VLED-IR (F) is built for durability and ease of use. Its cast aluminum base, along with stainless steel latches and hardware, provides excellent corrosion protection for long-term outdoor deployment. The unit also features a high-quality porcelain receptacle for secure electrical connections and a neoprene gasket to ensure weatherproof sealing against moisture and dust. Installation is simplified with no special tools required, and the light is available in side hub or bottom hub mounting configurations to accommodate various structural requirements. Hub sizes range from 0.75 inches, with enlargers available to increase to 1 inch or 1.25 inches.

Designed to operate reliably in extreme conditions, the obstruction light functions across a wide temperature range from -55°C to +55°C and exhibits a low wind load rating of 0.2 square feet, minimizing impact on the host structure. The LED lamp consumes a mere 0.06 amps of current, achieving an energy consumption reduction of 96% compared to traditional incandescent bulbs. Backed by a 5-year limited warranty, the TWR OL1VLED-IR (F) offers a dependable, low-maintenance solution for compliant and efficient obstruction lighting in demanding environments.
