The high-grade Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery offers long-term performance with capacities of 8.6Ah or 17.2Ah, and the unit supports internal DC programming and charging via an external charge port. The AV-70 High Intensity (AV-70-HI) model features infrared LEDs for tactical applications, manual control options, and external interfaces for switching and charging. Light output is omnidirectional (360 degrees) with selectable color options including blue, white, yellow, red, green, infrared, and bi-directional combinations. The LED light source boasts a life expectancy exceeding 100,000 hours and allows for three or five-step intensity adjustment depending on the variant.
