The REDSTAR Series represents a next-generation solution for medium-intensity, flashing LED obstruction lighting, purpose-built for nighttime marking of wind turbines and meteorological (MET) towers. These beacons combine advanced optical performance with a rugged, modular design to ensure dependable operation, streamlined installation, and long-term serviceability in demanding outdoor environments.

The REDSTAR Series supports both AC and optional DC power input configurations, offering flexible deployment across a range of infrastructure setups. The fixture also features built-in ADLS (Aircraft Detection Lighting System) functionality, eliminating the need for external ADLS controllers and enhancing compatibility with turbine systems. Infrared (IR) output is included for night-vision and aviation safety requirements, meeting modern compliance needs without additional modules.

Performance-wise, the beacon delivers an effective intensity of 2,000 candela red light and 246 mW/sr infrared output. Its light beam spans a full 360 degrees horizontally, with a narrow vertical beam of 3 degrees for optimal visibility while minimizing light spill. GPS synchronization ensures precise flash timing across multiple units, while LED temperature intensity compensation preserves consistent output in varying environmental conditions. A built-in Form “C” failure alarm provides reliable system monitoring, and additional safeguards include transient protection compliant with IEEE C62.41-1991 standards.

The REDSTAR Series is designed for durability and ease of installation. It features an impact-resistant metal cap, a single-cable connection for fast setup, and an anti-condensation design to protect internal components from moisture damage. Built-in radio frequency (RF) protection, integrated IR, GPS, and a photocell ensure robust autonomous operation in complex outdoor environments. The fixture is compatible with all major turbine manufacturers and mounts via an industry-standard bolt pattern.

With low power consumption, a projected operational lifespan of 15 to 20 years, and a five-year warranty, the REDSTAR Series offers a reliable and cost-effective obstruction lighting solution.
