The LFXB LED Series is a high-performance linear explosion-proof lighting solution engineered for demanding industrial and hazardous environments. Available in a 2-foot model consuming 40 watts and producing up to 4,200 lumens, as well as a 4-foot model consuming 80 watts and producing up to 8,400 lumens, the series also offers an optional emergency battery backup (EMB) for the 4-foot version. With a CRI greater than 80 and a rated life of 50,000 hours, these fixtures deliver exceptional illumination quality and long-lasting performance. Users can choose from cool white (5000K), neutral white (4000K), or warm white (3000K) color temperatures to suit specific application needs.
Built with a marine-grade, low-copper content aluminum housing and stainless steel hardware, the LFXB LED Series offers superior corrosion resistance, making it ideal for offshore drilling platforms, land-based rigs, refineries, chemical plants, paint spray booths, and other extreme environments. The housing is designed to withstand wet conditions, saltwater exposure, and hazardous atmospheres, with compliance to UL 1598 for wet locations, UL 1598A for marine outside type, and UL 844 for hazardous locations including Class I, Division 1 (Groups C & D), Class II, Division 1 (Groups E, F & G), and Class III. It is also UL 924 listed for emergency lighting equipment and meets CSA C22.2 No. 250.0 and BAA requirements.
The fixture operates on 120–277V, 50/60Hz power and can withstand ambient operating temperatures from -20°C to +40°C. Its stranded wiring and precision engineering ensure reliable performance in harsh conditions. The optional EMB, available exclusively for the 4-foot model, provides 90 minutes of emergency illumination when needed. Adjustable mounting feet are included, allowing for easy retrofitting to existing installations. The design supports horizontal axis aiming with up to 20° adjustment in either direction, offering flexibility in light placement and coverage.
Despite its robust construction, the fixture remains manageable in weight, with the 2-foot version weighing approximately 35 lb (16.0 kg), the standard 4-foot model at 42 lb (19.0 kg), and the 4-foot model with EMB at 63 lb (28.5 kg). These features make the LFXB LED Series a dependable, corrosion-resistant, and versatile lighting solution for some of the most challenging industrial and marine applications.
