The red-only configuration is designed to operate in either flashing or steady-burn modes, with an effective intensity of 2,000 candela at night. The system operates on 120–240V AC (50/60Hz), with a power factor greater than 0.9. Energy usage is minimal: 20W for steady-burn operation, 3.3W during red night flashing, and just 5W for the controller. The flash head weighs 20 lbs (9.07 kg), and the controller unit comes in at 80 lbs (36.29 kg). Like the dual version, this system is built to operate reliably in extreme temperatures from -40°F to +131°F (-40°C to +55°C).
