Created in collaboration with Needs Studio, Tidal is an elegant collection of ring-shaped LED pendant lights distinguished by exceptional luminous efficiency and a refined sculptural presence. The design draws inspiration from the rhythmic movements of celestial bodies, waves, and tides, capturing a sense of organic flow and motion. Each lamp reveals a different visual experience when viewed from below, thanks to its irregular, asymmetrical ring profile with one side subtly wider than the other. This unique geometry allows the Tidal series to shift its appearance dynamically as the viewer’s perspective changes, creating an interplay of light, form, and shadow. Seamlessly adaptable to a range of environments—from residential interiors to commercial and contract spaces—Tidal serves as both a functional light source and a decorative centerpiece, enhancing its surroundings whether used as a single statement piece or in a rhythmic composition of multiple fixtures.
In its stand-alone pendant version, Tidal has been reimagined with a double-shell structure that balances direct and indirect light emission while maintaining a glare-free effect. This innovative construction adds depth and movement to the design, making the circular form appear as though it is gently twisting and floating in midair. The standard suspension version features cables of approximately four meters in length, while the rise-and-fall model introduces an adjustable system that allows users to modify the lamp’s height up to 1.5 meters from the ceiling. The adjustment process is intuitive: by simply grasping the ring, the lamp can be gently raised or lowered to the preferred position. This flexibility makes the Tidal particularly suitable for environments where lighting needs shift throughout the day, such as dining spaces, hospitality venues, or collaborative work areas, where the atmosphere can be easily altered without the need for permanent fixture adjustments.
