The Dual-Tech Occupancy Wall Sensor is a versatile, wall- or ceiling-mounted sensor that combines Passive Infrared (PIR) and High-Frequency Doppler occupancy sensing technologies for enhanced detection coverage in indoor applications. With a maximum detection area of 50 feet and a coverage angle of 110°, the sensor automatically turns connected luminaires to a preset dimming level when motion is detected and switches lights off after the area is vacated. This dual-technology design ensures reliable performance even in spaces where either PIR or Doppler sensing alone might be limited, making it suitable for offices, classrooms, corridors, and other commercial or institutional interiors. The sensor is a Class 2 device compliant with CA Title 24 bi-level dimming requirements, enabling efficient lighting control while meeting regulatory standards.

The sensor operates on a 22–26 VDC power supply and can be mounted on walls or ceilings at heights between 6 and 10 feet (1.8–3 meters). It is designed to function in operating temperatures from -14°F to 122°F (-10°C to 50°C) with a relative humidity tolerance of up to 95%, ensuring consistent indoor performance across varied environmental conditions. The compact unit measures 4.4 inches by 2.6 inches by 1.8 inches (112 x 66 x 46 mm) and comes in a clean white finish to blend with standard interior designs. The Dual-Tech sensor is Bluetooth® Mesh qualified and must be installed within 30 feet of the nearest device on the network to maintain optimal wireless connectivity.

Control and customization are key features of the Dual-Tech Occupancy Wall Sensor. The device includes a 6-pole DIP switch for enabling or disabling multiple functions, including three LED indicators for sensing status, a built-in buzzer for audible Delay-End Warning and Test Mode, SmartDelay for automatic adjustment of the OFF-delay between 3 and 30 minutes based on occupancy history, and a FORCE-OFF function to disengage the relay if unexpected movements occur during the OFF-delay period. Lower PIR sensitivity can be set via the DIP switch to reduce false activations from minor or distant movements. End users can also program time delays, light level sensitivity, sensor range, and other parameters through the BubblyNet App, providing flexible control for a variety of indoor scenarios.

Installation requires the sensor to be supplied with 24 VDC power along with a 12 V DC/DC converter and a BubblyNet DC 0–10V controller, both included. The sensor, converter, and controller are rated for indoor use and can withstand temperatures from -14°F to 122°F (-10°C to 50°C) with up to 95% relative humidity. The mounting angle of the sensor can be adjusted horizontally or vertically to achieve optimal coverage, and the sensor is suitable for both wall and ceiling installations.
