TRIPLE is a sophisticated pendant lighting system that artfully combines power and elegance, offering three independently controlled light sources: a focused downlight, an indirect uplight, and a soft glow ring. The system is engineered with Power over Suspension technology, providing an unencumbered, clean aesthetic by eliminating visible power cables. Housed within a precisely designed drum structure, TRIPLE not only integrates complex lighting functionality but also facilitates internal airflow to actively cool the components, enhancing performance and longevity. This makes it an excellent choice for dynamic and visually engaging environments such as event spaces, hospitality venues, retail installations, and modern workspaces.
Each section of the TRIPLE luminaire can be finished in one of ten available powder-coated colors, enabling designers to create playful combinations, reinforce brand identity, or introduce vibrant accents to a space. This flexibility in finish allows the fixture to transcend utility and serve as a strong design statement.
The TRIPLE pendant is constructed from durable aluminum and steel and mounts directly over a junction box (by others – North America only). It is powered by high power factor (HPF) electronic drivers compatible with 120–277V and EU 240V systems. Depending on the configuration, drivers may be located within the canopy or remotely mounted. For remote mounting, wire size determines allowable distances: 18 AWG for up to 9.5 feet (2.9 meters), 16 AWG up to 19.5 feet (5.9 meters), and 14 AWG up to 29.5 feet (9.0 meters). Drivers must remain accessible post-installation.
TRIPLE also supports a remote emergency lighting system, offering a 1.5-hour runtime (3 hours for EU) in case of power failure. The system includes an inverter module, NiCad batteries, and a wall or ceiling-mounted LED charge indicator with test switch (North America only), which can be installed up to 15 feet (4.5 meters) from the fixture. The test switch fits a standard single gang box (not supplied).
Delivering high performance based on 4000K, minimum 80 CRI LEDs, the luminaire achieves exceptional energy efficiency and visual quality. It boasts a reported L70 lifetime of over 60,000 hours, with an estimated longevity exceeding 124,000 hours at 25°C (77°F). Sensor integration is available; consult the factory to determine compatibility with specific control systems. TRIPLE is damp rated, making it suitable for a wide range of interior applications, and is thoughtfully designed by Serge Cornelissen to elevate the interplay of function and form in contemporary lighting.
