The Vedita LED VE5 (model LS9405LED) is a compact, low-voltage underwater luminaire designed for use in fountains, water features, swimming pools, and spas. Engineered specifically for submerged environments, including saline water applications, this fixture combines performance with durability. It features a robust construction that includes a marine-grade 316 stainless steel bezel and a corrosion-resistant polymer housing. The luminaire is further protected by Lumascape’s proprietary ElectroPolishPlus™ surface treatment, enhancing its resistance to harsh environments.
Designed with versatility in mind, the Vedita VE5 offers a wide range of output settings. It can operate at a maximum output of 2 watts for high-intensity illumination, delivering 180 lumens while consuming 2.8 watts, or it can be configured to run as low as 0.2 watts for subtle accent lighting. This adjustment can be made either at the factory or in the field, offering flexibility for various lighting needs. Additionally, the fixture supports dynamic dimming via Lumascape’s advanced d5 driver technology, compatible with PWM control protocols including 0–10V and DMX through available converters.
Installation is made easy with a dedicated pre-installation blockout niche. The fixture operates on low voltage—24 VDC for international applications and 12–15 VAC or 12–24 VDC in North America—making it suitable for a variety of low-voltage systems. It is designed to perform reliably in water temperatures ranging from -5°C to 40°C (41°F to 104°F) and is rated IP68 for submersion up to 2 meters (6 feet), with an IK10 impact rating for superior mechanical protection.
The Vedita VE5 is also available in DarkSky-compliant configurations, producing less than 5 lumens of uplight and under 100 lumens total, supporting light pollution reduction initiatives. Its long service life exceeds 60,000 hours at a typical water temperature of 35°C, with TM21 projected lifetimes reaching nearly 70,000 hours, ensuring lasting performance in demanding underwater settings.
