Time Square Direct Pendant is a luminaire that embodies timeless design and effective light emission, inspired by a classic archetypal form. It features balanced proportions and incorporates the same unique light engine found in the original design, making it well suited for use as a versatile lighting system intended for long-lasting performance. Time Square is available with a choice of four different diffuser types, each enhanced by an optical film with unique qualities applied above the diffuser to ensure optimal lighting effects.
The Time family is extensive and equipped with the latest LED technology, delivering distinctive optical light qualities. The luminaire’s structure consists of a frame made from extruded aluminium combined with end caps crafted from cast zinc, providing durability and a refined aesthetic. An addition to the family, Time track replaces the direct light source with a DALI track system, available in two sizes to accommodate continuous lighting configurations. This system allows for the mixing of luminaire and track sections seamlessly without disturbing the design flow. Luminaires mounted on the track sections can be individually programmed through DALI, offering flexible and customizable lighting control.
Time Square Direct Pendant offers four diffuser options, including microprismatic acrylic glass combined with BrightView optical film, an optical diffuser in MIRO material with BrightView film, a micro lamella louvre in lacquered aluminium with BrightView film, and opal frosted acrylic glass. For single luminaires, a honeycomb louvre is available upon request. The system luminaires can also be angled at 90 degrees, allowing greater versatility in lighting direction. The direct version measures 75 mm in height, while the direct/indirect version stands slightly taller at 85 mm.
This luminaire complies with the latest Swedish standards SS-EN 12464-1 as mandated by the Swedish Work Environment Authority, ensuring it meets high-quality lighting requirements. Installation is supported by a suspension system using a 1.5 m friction lock wire, adjustable vertically and diagonally. The system starts with end caps, and mechanical connection between luminaires and end caps is achieved with an eccentric lock for a clean finish free from visible screws. Connection options include a 3 m white cable with plug or flying leads, with halogen-free cables of varying specifications depending on the model. Optional quick connectors can be selected in the configurator, and black cables are available on request. System luminaires are supplied excluding cable but include a quick connector for easy electrical connection.
The Time Square pendant includes an LED light source available in 3000K or 4000K color temperatures, with a minimum CRI of 90 and a lifespan rated at L100B10 50,000 hours. This CRI 90 source uses new technology that improves efficiency by approximately 20% compared to previous versions, resulting in minimal energy efficiency differences relative to CRI 80 sources. A tunable white option is also available upon request. The product is classified with an energy efficiency rating of class D. Lumen output varies depending on the diffuser and driver programming, ranging from approximately 1140 to 2330 lumens per meter, with corresponding efficacy between 55 and 113 lumens per watt.
The luminaire is equipped with a Philips LED driver featuring Touch and DALI control, allowing flicker-free light regulation from 1 to 100 percent. It comes standard with a pre-programmed Constant Lumen Output (CLO), ensuring consistent light levels over time. The driver is designed for a 100,000-hour lifespan with less than a 10% failure probability. For more advanced lighting management, a smart driver compatible with the Organic Response intelligent lighting control system is available, enabling data collection on energy consumption and performance.
The Time Square Direct Pendant emits 100% downlight and can be configured in systems with a 90-degree angle option, which by default directs light to the right; left-direction versions can be made upon request. Black and grey color finishes are also available at no additional cost. For systems utilizing Organic Response lighting control, optimization support is available upon contact.
The Time track system is equipped with a black Global Trac Pulse connected on one phase and offered in two sizes: 1130 mm and 2250 mm, with start and system configurations including 94 cm and 2 m track sections. These allow mounting of luminaires with track adapters controlled through DALI, enabling individual control of track-mounted luminaires. When installing larger track-mounted spotlights, system balance should be considered to maintain optimal performance.
